Boulder Weather Policy
General
Guidelines : The
Colorado Front Range is notorious for rapidly changing weather patterns.
The scattered thunder storms that are prominent during the late
summer afternoons normally come and go with just a refreshing
shower. The dark sky can intimidate and it may look grim for
an outdoor movie, but don't let that scare you away. Unless there
is lightning in the near vicinity or it's just dumping rain without
any sign of letting up... The Show Will Go On! (Exception:
If we only have a dozen or so people sitting in the rain, we could
postpone the movie.)
Believe us, if you come prepared and can
get through any bumps in the weather, the outdoor movie experience
will reward you ten times over. Don't forget warm clothing, blankets
and sleeping bags to fend off the chillier night air in the later
part of the season.
If it starts
to pour during the movie and you're not up for enduring the storm,
event staff will provide you with a complimentary ticket. Regrettably,
we are unable to provide refunds. Movie will continue to be shown
in a light rain. Keep in mind, we are located
in a large paved lot. It can rain up until the movie begins and
we'll still have favorable conditions to screen a movie that evening.
